Neymar runs Brazil’s great start
The former Santos star was Brazil’s best player in the opening

Brazil and Japan played the opening match of the Confederations Cup, on Saturday, June 15. Just over 67,000 fans were at the Mané Garrincha stadium, in Brasília. Brazil beat
Japan with three great goals. The first was scored after just three minutes
when Neymar hit a beautiful and powerful shot from outside the area[1].
In the first half Brazil had two good chances toextend their lead
through with [2] strikers Fred and Hulk. Japan did not
manage any good chances in the first half. As in the first half,
Brazil scored an early goal in the second half, by Paulinho. Neymar
was still the best Brazil player, but he asked to be substituted
after suffering a slight back injury [3]. Towards [4]
the end of the game it began to rain heavily in Brasilia. In the last
minute of the game, Oscar made a great move and pass to the striker
Jô, who scored Brazil’s third and final goal. Even in victory,
coach Scolari was not entirely pleased with the performance by
Brazil. In an interview after the game, he said Brazil needs to
sort out [5] some problems. On Wednesday, June 19, Brazil
play Mexico, in Fortaleza, and on Saturday they play Italy.
